  • Ariel Helwani tweeted an update on Conor McGregor and wrote that the path is open for McGregor vs. Nate Diaz III, but they need to get a deal done and it isn’t yet: “Seen some reports that McGregor and Masvidal are in talks to fight this summer. No truth to that at all, I’m told. That’s not the current direction and no talks surrounding that fight. As I said last week, the hope is still a summer return and the path is open for the trilogy to happen once and for all. It’s there for the taking but they need to get a deal done and there isn’t one yet.”
  • Jose Aldo has been hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro due to a bacterial infection but is still expected to face Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 237 on May 11.
  • Darren Till posted a statement on his loss to Jorge Masvidal, vowing to “be back a different animal” when he returns.
