Friday News Update

- WrestleMania tickets are now available to the public through Ticketmaster for the shows on 4/1 and 4/2 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.
- A number of markets will not air Smackdown live tonight due to NFL teams in he area having preseason games on the local FOX channel, so check your local guides to find out when the show will air. Also, when the fast nationals come up, it monitors all FOX stations meaning the markets that air much higher rated football will be added into the number, making it look like a monster rating. The actual number to take serious won’t be available until Monday.
- Raleigh for Smackdown has a big advance with more than 8,000 tickets out. Announced for the show is a Liv Morgan/Shayna Baszler contract signing, Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah vs. Xia Li & Shotzi in the women’s tag team tournament and Gunther vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the IC title.
- AEW Rampage tonight at 10 p.m. on TNT has Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo defending the AAA mixed tag titles against Dante Martin & Skye Blue, Austin & Colten Gunn vs. Erick Redbeard & Danhausen, Sonny Kiss vs. Parker Boudreaux and Orange Cassidy vs. Ari Daivari. Bryan Danielson does an interview pushing Wednesday’s match with Daniel Garcia in a 2/3 fall bout, plus Hook also appears.
- Impact Emergence on Impact+ tonight from Cicero IL
- Brian Myers vs. Bhupinder Gurjar for the Digital Media title

- MLW announced that its 8/27 TV taping in El Paso TX will instead be a house show. MLW contacted some talent originally booked for the show and said they wouldn’t be using them. All those with booking canceled will receive half of their usual booking fees Because they haven’t gotten a new announced TV deal there was no need to tape the show.
