One of the greatest MMA fighters of all time calls it a career tonight. The veteran warrior Dan “Hendo” Henderson is battle worn, beloved by many, and without a doubt, a first ballot Hall of Famer in the sport of MMA. Younger generations may not recall his accomplishments, from United States Olympian to Pride double champion, but all fans will remember his heart. Hendo never backed down, and he never quit, even though he may have submitted. He won or lost every battle with heart, even if it wasn’t what was best for his head. Dan Henderson is an inspirational character the likes of which are rarely seen in real life, but Hendo is just that. He’s real life. Tonight, the legend steps into the octagon, one final time, before he falls on his sword, a hero for everyone.

  • WWE’s travel packages for next year’s Royal Rumble include an NXT show the night before the Rumble at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, TX. The travel packages don’t specify whether the show is a TakeOver special or not. Keep an eye out for our site’s group get-together information, which should be finalized shortly. 
  • Big Show was interviewed by GamesRadar and said that he isn’t on TV because WWE doesn’t need him right now.

  • Broken Matt Hardy will be debuting for AAW Wrestling on November 4th.
  • Gabe Sapolsky teased EVOLVE running shows in San Antonio over Royal Rumble weekend.
  • In response to critical comments Bret Hart made about The Freedbirds being included in the WWE Hall of Fame, Michael Hayes tweeted: “Just read something where BRET put the Birds down, say what U want about me, when U talk about Terry and Buddy, who aren’t here, PROBLEM! Just to clarify, drunk yes, drew more money in MANY places YES, popped Mid South, Atl, Texas to record crowds!! U leave Terry/Buddy alone!! It is really sad when a legend was so blessed with a great career, resorts to crapping on others, U’d NEVER say that to Terry or Bud’s face!”
  • Here is a quick observation of wrestlers at New York Comic Con: Animal, Jerry Lawler, Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase and Jimmy Hart all had tables for autographs, memorabilia, etc. Hart and DiBiase were together and had the Million Dollar belt. Animal was selling shirts and had his makeup on but not his shoulder pads. Duggan was taking pics with fans with the 2×4. Everyone looked rather healthy. Dibiase appears to have lost weight and Duggan’s hair is a bit shorter (still had a small ponytail)

  • UFC released the final episode of Embedded prior to UFC 204 tonight, headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson.

  • There could be a sequel to the Tom Hardy movie Warrior.
  • The fifth annual Grapple at The Garden dual meet event will take place at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, November 27. A total of 20 colleges and universities will compete, including 8 Division I programs led by a highly-anticipated MSG rematch battle between two top 15 NCAA 2016 national tournament finishers – Cornell vs. Rutgers! Other Division I programs represented will be Princeton, Hofstra, Maryland, George Mason, and making their MSG Grapple debut, Buffalo and Columbia.
