  • Tony Khan told TV Insider about the big announcement that he’s making on tonight’s Dynamite: “I think this surprise is different than anything we’ve promoted before. We’ve had a lot of great surprise moments in AEW. A lot of special nights on Dynamite. Without giving too much away, I think this is a unique announcement. I’m excited about this as anything we’ve worked on.”
  • TV Insider also asked Khan what his thought process is when it comes to promoting announcements ahead of time: “I think there will be a lot of interest in this announcement. Given the amount of intrigue I think it will create, I thought it would be good to promote a big surprise coming to Dynamite. This is the kind of announcement that deserves a lot of fanfare.”

  • In CIMA’s 25th anniversary match, CIMA & Shingo Takagi will team together against Ryuichi Kawakami & Kazma Sakamoto at GLEAT’s show at Korakuen Hall on Wednesday, May 18.
  • “Speedball” Mike Bailey spoke to Sports Illustrated about the matches he’s had since being able to wrestle in the United States again: “I’ve been absolutely nonstop since coming back. It’s been wild. I’ve had fun in every single match. I enjoy it, and I take pride in what I do. I love doing it. I am also conscious of the impact that a performance with true purpose and care can have on people. That motivates me to keep going and reach new heights.”
  • MLW and the relaunched 1PW have announced a partnership that will “focus on a talent exchange between the organizations and other opportunities to collaborate with each other in their respective markets.” The partnership will include MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone wrestling at 1PW’s return event in Doncaster, England on Saturday, October 1.
