WWE uploaded a post-show video with Mensah-Stock reacting to being at the show. On Instagram, she wrote about meeting Raquel Gonzalez and Rhea Ripley: “When I see other woman like me that are strong, nice, thick and beautiful. It makes me so happy.” Mensah-Stock and Gable Steveson were both honored by WWE at SummerSlam this August.
  • Today is the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series 1996, where Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made his WWF debut. Johnson tweeted about the anniversary: “Wow 25yrs ago I wrestled my first match in @wwe in Madison Square Garden. Shaking my head right now. What a wild, unpredictable road I’ve been on. So many people to thank along the way. Especially the fans. Love U guys. Humbled by this journey. Wtf’s up with my awful haircut”
  • The Motley Fool published a story on the competition that WWE is facing from AEW.
  • Jeff Hardy told BT Sport that the most recent contract he signed with WWE was for two years. Hardy said in an interview with BT Sport in September 2020 that he signed a new deal with WWE, and getting to use his old “No More Words” theme music again was part of him re-signing.
  • The latest edition of WWE The Build To focuses on the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
  • Jinder Mahal is joining the cast of ABC’s “Big Sky” starting with tomorrow’s episode. Mahal is playing a character named Dhruv.
  • Drew McIntyre appeared on Busted Open Radio this morning.
  • On Busted Open Radio yesterday, Edge spoke about how he’s feeling wrestling at his age: “You know, what I think I’ve learned is that the self-care and recuperation just takes longer. So before, when you can do it every night, that’s not the case anymore. Now, you know, after a match and I’m like, ‘Okay, I feel great. Maybe I could do one more the next day’ but that’s pretty rare. It’s usually a good two-to-three weeks until I’m like, ‘Okay, all right. I think everything’s knocked out of my system.’ The cryotherapy I did, the sauna. I did cold plunges, I stretched, I did yoga, I did massage, all of those things that I never did before. Now they’re a necessity.”
  • The Staples Center in Los Angeles is being renamed to Crypto.com Arena starting on Christmas Day. WWE SmackDown will take place at the Staples Center on December 10.
  • Adam Pearce has filed a trademark for “Scrap Daddy.”

Other Wrestling

  • Chris Dickinson gave an update on how he’s doing after undergoing surgery for the injury he suffered at NJPW Battle in the Valley: “Im already getting in and out of bed on my own. Dressed myself today, got all my stuff together by myself. Going to be discharged. The docs are stunned how good I’m moving around already. I told them , I’ll tell you. I’ll do what I have to do but I ain’t selling for this sh*t.”
  • AEW announced its first set of post-Full Gear roster rankings.
  • Booker T said on the Battleground Podcast that he’s planning to create a “Sherri Martel Classic” for his Reality of Wrestling promotion sometime very soon.
  • Taya Valkyrie’s first match after being released from WWE will be at Zicky Dice’s Outlandish Paradise on January 15.
  • Denise Salcedo interviewed The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay).
  • The first episode of Ric Flair’s Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast was released today.
  • Flair offered praise for Kenny Omega on the podcast: “I don’t see a weakness. After being in Mexico with him when he wrestled Andrade, I became even more impressed because seeing someone on TV, being around him, meeting him socially is one thing, and he’s a wonderful kid. I think the fact that he’s wrestled everybody, every style, around the world, that’s what it takes to really become a top guy in this business. You have to have had different opponents with different styles. I put him and AJ Styles and Randy Orton, and there’s a lot of good ones, but I put those three pretty much in a class of their own. I would take The Young Bucks and The Usos as two of my favorite teams. They have a different style than Tully and Arn, but the way wrestling is put together today, and the way the guys are taught to entertain, I think The Usos are phenomenal and The Young Bucks do some stuff I’ve never seen.”
  • On the latest episode of Talk is Jericho, Chris Jericho shared stories from this year’s Rock & Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise.
