Wednesday Update

WWE
- Last night’s NXT Roadblock event ended with an angle where Roxanne Perez collapsed after retaining her NXT Women’s Championship against Meiko Satomura. After Perez was taken out in an ambulance, WWE posted the following storyline update: “Roxanne Perez will be kept overnight in the hospital for observation and continued testing. #WWENXT.” The angle appears to be a callback to a 1995 storyline where Shawn Michaels fainted during a match against Owen Hart.
- Johnny Gargano tweeted about facing Grayson Waller at NXT Stand & Deliver: “Because of you.. my story in @WWENXT ended on a cliffhanger 15 months ago. You took my moment from me and I never forgot that. I waited patiently for the right time & place..April 1st.. Wrestlemania Weekend.. I shut you up & close the book my way. #JohnnyTakeOver #OneMoreTime”
- Gargano shared video of Candice LeRae and their son Quill at the Performance Center watching Gargano’s appearance on NXT last night.
- Trish Stratus, Lita, and Liv Morgan appeared on WWE’s The Bump this afternoon.
- Morgan became a meme on Twitter after being shown attending last night’s New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden with WWE senior vice president of live events Justin Scalise. In the video, Morgan appeared like she wasn’t paying attention to what Scalise was saying.
- Cody Rhodes showed off the custom weight belt that he’ll be wearing at WWE’s Madison Square Garden house show this Sunday.
- Rhodes was the guest on this week’s episode of Out of Character with Ryan Satin.
- WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded the following matches: Triple H vs. Batista no holds barred match (WrestleMania 35), Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali for the Cruiserweight Championship (WrestleMania 34 pre-show), and the 2022 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (April 1, 2022 SmackDown).
AEW/Other Wrestling
- Scorpio Sky, who hasn’t wrestled since last July, tweeted about the MJF fan incident from AEW Revolution: “I’ll say it if nobody else will, fans/media celebrating a kid being disrespected at a show is the smallest dick energy imaginable.
- In response to an AEW social media post about International Women’s Day, Saraya suggested that AEW should introduce women’s tag team titles: “Perfect way to celebrate would be to bring in Women’s tag titles”
- Dax Harwood teased that we might see FTR on Dynamite tonight.
- Samoa Joe joked about being the person who broke into Wardlow’s rental car and stole the TNT Championship belt: “Anyone know how to get broken glass out of a Balaclava? Asking for a friend ..”
- MJF posted a clip from his appearance on “Impractical Jokers” that airs on TBS and TruTV this Thursday.
- Impact Wrestling has announced that Under Siege 2023 will take place at the Western Fair District Agriplex in London, Ontario, Canada on Friday, May 26. The show is an Impact Plus special. Following Under Siege, the Western Fair District Agriplex will host a set of Impact television tapings on May 27.
- Nashville Scene published a story remembering Jerry Jarrett.
- Willie Mack vs. Real1 has been added to the card for MLW’s War Chamber tapings in New York City on Thursday, April 6.
