For less than three days last week, the Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal was listed as part of the WrestleMania 34 lineup. The match, which will feature wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT as WWE attempts to get as much of the women’s division on the card as possible, will still be happening. But it will instead be called the “WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal” after WWE had to change the name due to fan and sponsor backlash.

WWE
- Ronda Rousey did a media tour of ESPN today and wasn’t very receptive to questions about her mixed martial arts career. She corrected Mike Golic and noted that she’s never said that she won’t fight again, then responded “There’s a possibility that I could go back in time? That’s your question to me?” when Golic asked a follow-up question about going back in time. The interview continued fine from there, with Rousey saying she thinks Floyd Mayweather competing in MMA is just talk. On “First Take,” Rousey questioned if Max Kellerman was hiding his own opinion when he asked her thoughts on people who claimed she was overrated after her losses. Rousey also appeared on “Get Up!” with Mike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle, and Jalen Rose, with a segment about her armbar being better than the Figure Four and Sharpshooter.
- WWE uploaded a video about Rousey’s four-hour training session at the Performance Center last week.
- Shane McMahon posted a photo with his sons from the hospital and thanked everyone who has wished him well. WWE announced yesterday that Shane had been hospitalized and is recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia.
- On Raw, Matt Hardy and Bayley became the latest wrestlers to be announced for the battle royals that will be taking place at WrestleMania.
- Becky Lynch, Carmella, and Lana lobbied to replace Charlotte Flair as Bobby Roode’s partner on Mixed Match Challenge tonight. Roode and whoever is chosen in the fan vote will take on Finn Balor & Sasha Banks in a semifinal match.
- Tony Nese vs. Mark Andrews has been added to the lineup for tonight’s 205 Live. It’s the first time Andrews has been on the show since losing in the Cruiserweight Championship tournament. TJP vs. Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Buddy Murphy will take place on the show as well.
- Chris Harrington has an article for Fightful on WWE’s annual lawsuit against potential merchandise bootleggers, which reveals the company’s touring schedule for the next year.
- WWE Shop has released a “Fight for Your Dreams” t-shirt, with this being Daniel Bryan’s first new merchandise since he was cleared to return.
- WWE posted Bryan vs. Batista vs. Randy Orton from WrestleMania 30 for free on YouTube.
- TV Insider spoke to Jason Hehir about his work directing the upcoming Andre the Giant documentary that will premiere on HBO on April 10th.
- ESPN interviewed Naomi about being able to work with her husband and team with him in Mixed Match Challenge.
- Braun Strowman detailed five moves that can build super strength for Men’s Health.
- Curt Hawkins again tweeted that he wants to be Braun Strowman’s partner at WrestleMania.
Pro Wrestling
- The latest edition of Being the Elite focuses on everything that happened at Strong Style Evolved and features Cody Rhodes’ “apology” to The Young Bucks. The storyline is that Cody is claiming that he shoved Nick Jackson at the end of Strong Style Evolved because he thought it was Kenny Omega, but Nick ends the episode by saying he doesn’t think they can trust Cody.
- ROH officially announced that Six-Man Tag Team Champions SoCal Uncensored will defend their titles against The Young Bucks & Flip Gordon in a ladder match at Supercard of Honor in New Orleans on April 7th. The Kingdom were originally announced to challenge for the titles, but the angle is that they’ve been “barred from participating” in the show.
- Joe Koff spoke to Brian Fritz of the Sporting News about ROH’s direction heading into Supercard of Honor and their relationship with NJPW.
- Tenille Dashwood vs. Brandi Rhodes in the second round of the Women of Honor title tournament is now available on YouTube.
- Impact Wrestling revealed their streaming schedule for WrestleMania weekend, which includes Twitch Casts with Josh Mathews and Sonjay Dutt and videos following their wrestlers around events in New Orleans.
- PROGRESS Wrestling Champion Travis Banks defending against Shane Strickland, Timothy Thatcher & WALTER vs. David Starr & Jack Sexsmith, and Pete Dunne vs. Flash Morgan Webster vs. Mark Andrews have been confirmed for PROGRESS’ show in New Orleans on April 6th.
- Fred Yehi is set to debut for Revolution Pro Wrestling against Martin Stone at their Epic Encounter show on March 11th.
- Primate is stepping away from the ring indefinitely due to a jaw injury.
UFC/MMA
- Floyd Mayweather claimed that there’s a 50-50 chance that he has an MMA fight before the end of the year.
- Raphael Assuncao wants to face Dominick Cruz in a number one contender’s bout.
- Cub Swanson thought he was done with the UFC until his fight against Frankie Edgar was made.
- The UFC will be returning to Germany with a show in Hamburg on July 22nd.
