WWE
- Roman Reigns attended today’s Georgia Tech vs. Georgia college football game, with Georgia Tech tweeting video of Reigns on the sidelines. Reigns played football at Georgia Tech when he was in college. In support of Reigns during his battle against leukemia, the Tennessee Titans sent him custom jerseys with “Reigns” and “Anoa’i” written on the back.
- The WWE Performance Center’s YouTube channel uploaded episode two of their “ARRIVAL” series on Matt RIddle. It looks at Riddle’s family preparing to move to Florida and Riddle visiting the Monster Factory (where he trained at the beginning of his pro wrestling career).
- John Cena tweeted about finishing working on the “Project X-traction” movie he’s been filming with Jackie Chan in China: “160 days ago I landed in [China] to film w @EyeOfJackieChan today is the final day of that project. An experience I’ll never forget. I’ll have 1 day home then [time] to promote @bumblebeemovie until it’s release 12/21 then, I truly return home @WWE @TheGarden 12/26 #HLR #NeverGiveUp”
- Ronda Rousey got emotional when talking about her goat Rio being killed by coyotes while she was away for WWE. Rousey said she can’t wrestle forever because it feels like she’s failing her family. She mentioned that she loves wrestling and wouldn’t leave home unless it was to do the most fantastic things ever but said energy that she spends on WWE is energy that she isn’t spending on her family.
- Becky Lynch and Conor McGregor went back and forth on Twitter, with McGregor telling Lynch to call him when she needs backup and Lynch replying that New York is nice in the spring. Lynch also referenced McGregor’s bus attack from earlier this year: “I heard Conor gets to NY quick if a call is made”
- WWE posted the video that aired at today’s NXT UK television tapings in Liverpool where Triple H announced NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool for Saturday, January 12.
- WWE stock closed the week at $62.60 per share yesterday, which was down less than a percent on the day.
- Sonya Deville spoke to Sky Sports about being a role model to people in the LGBTQ community.
- Wrestling DVD Network reported that a “Best of NXT TakeOver 2018” DVD is currently scheduled to be released in March 2019.

- Hacksaw Jim Duggan has been discharged from the hospital: “DISCHARGED!!! YES!! Thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all of you my friends. Will post the whole story tonight. Thank the Lord!”
- Fujita “Jr.” Hayato revealed that he’s battling cancer.
- Ringkampf (WALTER, Timothy Thatcher & NXT’s Marcel Barthel) vs. British Strong Style (Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) is set for wXw’s 18th anniversary show in Oberhausen, Germany on December 22.
- Cody Rhodes retained the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship in a staring contest against Joey Ryan for World Series Wrestling in Australia.
- After an Instagram account pretending to be him did a Q&A session, PAC (Neville) clarified that he isn’t on Instagram: “I do not have Instagram. BEWARE OF CHEAP IMITATORS.”
UFC/MMA
- Fite TV had to cancel their scheduled Black Friday sale for tonight’s Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz PPV yesterday: “Unfortunately, upon further discussions with our partners and with reference to our contractual obligations as a distributor of the fight, we were informed that we need to pull the promotion.”
- Chris Leben is working as a judge and referee at Liddell vs. Ortiz.
- Alistair Overeem said he’s “very ready” for a rematch with Francis Ngannou.
