- The Detroit News has a comment from Sami Zayn talking about WWE holding SummerSlam this year at Ford Field. “This is a big deal that we’re coming, and that it’s in Ford Field. I think it’s going to be extremely exciting. SummerSlam on its own is already a pretty big deal. And then when you add in Detroit and you add a stadium component to it, all of a sudden it becomes a really big deal. And then everybody gets more excited about it, and that sort of circular pattern goes from fans to performers back to the fans. So there becomes this heightened energy the closer you come to it.”
- WWE 2K23 announced that The Bella Twins, Kurt Angle, Queen Zelina, Cody Rhodes, and Molly Holly have been added to this year’s game.
- WWE Music has added Fallon Henley’s theme on YouTube.

- Court Bauer has written a letter to fans ahead of tonight’s MLW debut on Reelz.
- The cold open for tonight’s debut.
- Bauer spoke to Deadline ahead of tonight’s debut. Regarding MLW suing WWE, he said: “There are several things that have come up that have disrupted our business in terms of talent and tampering with contracts. Overall it’s just the suppression of the growth of our business that we looked at. So, this wasn’t just tampering with one deal, one piece of talent. It’s the totality. If you look at the 40-year history and the practices of WWE going back to the eighties … the problems start to emerge. They have an immense market share. They will do what they do to make sure that that’s not softened.”
