WWE

  • A mysterious QR code was shown during NXT Great American Bash last night, bringing you to a page that says “8:10:11.”
  • WWE uploaded a video after the Great American Bash where Cameron Grimes was startled by strange lights flickering in the locker room. Bron Breakker retained his NXT Championship against Grimes in the main event of the episode.
  • It was said on NXT last night that Chase U are going on a field trip to London, likely indicating that they’ll be showing up on NXT UK soon.
  • While speaking with Ariel Helwani after winning the United States title at Money in the Bank, Bobby Lashley praised Theory: “Man, By the time he’s my age, he’s going to be on a stack of money as high as this building. He’s gonna be a super-duper star. 23 years old, that kid has everything in his future. I can see him being a multiple-time world champion. He’s gonna be going after Cena’s record, he’s gonna be after Ric Flair’s record. He’s going to be setting some records that you would never, never imagine. The kid is extremely talented.”
  • Following an incident where a fan ran up to her car while she was stopped at a red light, Bianca Belair encouraged fans to respect wrestlers’ boundaries: “I mean, I love my fans. I love all the love and all the support that they give me … But when we are outside of the WWE wrestling space, or at night time especially, I know it might seem like it’s fun, all in the name of fun, but there’s boundaries. And I want you guys to be safe, and I want to be safe at the same time too.”
  • Rhea Ripley responded to someone on Twitter who said she “should be abused”: “Hi, Demi here…. Ya know, the real life human inside Rhea Ripley. Just wanted to point out that WRESTLERS & any form of ENTERTAINER is a real life human off screen. Don’t wish harm on ANYONE. Don’t wish for anyone to be BURIED. Don’t wish for anyone to be FIRED. F’N disgrace.”
  • WWE shared video of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee reacting to Liv Morgan’s Money in the Bank cash-in.
  • Morgan and former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide appeared on WWE’s The Bump this afternoon.

  • On his Gentleman Villain podcast, William Regal spoke about AEW adding Claudio Castagnoli to its roster: “Absolutely wonderful. Incredible to have him, not only a part of AEW, but he’s one of my favorite people. I think he’s one of the great professionals of the world … We could do a whole podcast on my admiration for Claudio, and he’s a pro through and through, he’s incredible. Everything about him, the way he carries himself, what he’s gone through, how he’s got to this point in his life just getting to America … I really do think he’s quite possibly, when I say the best professional, professional around today, and maybe as much as anybody, ever.”
  • Chelsea Green responded to Wrestling Entertainment Series’ statement where the promotion claimed that “so many talent not showing up” was the reason it had to cancel its debut show: “Instead of blaming the talent who took weeks off to come work for your NEW company under the impression you could be trusted… try refunding the fans & apologizing for your lack of organization.”
  • Matthew Rehwoldt tweeted: “Talent ‘not showing up’ What a laugh…”
  • Wrestling Entertainment Series noted that everyone who purchased a ticket to its debut show or pre-ordered the PPV will be refunded in full.
  • PWInsider reports that Tammy “Sunny” Sytch has been approved for a public defender in her DUI manslaughter case in Florida. A pre-trial hearing is set for August 11.
  • Hiromu Takahashi, KUSHIDA, and El Desperado will be appearing at Starrcast V later this month.
  • GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion HAYATA will debut for PROGRESS Wrestling at their shows in Sheffield, England and Newcastle, England next month.
