  • Paul “Triple H” Levesque tweeted about Pat McAfee taking a hiatus from SmackDown for his new job with ESPN’s College GameDay: “@PatMcAfeeShow approached us about his amazing opportunity with College GameDay. We’d never stand in Pat’s way, as he continues to architect his exceptional career. Pat will remain a member of the @WWE Universe and we look forward to his return. #UpToSomethingSZN”
  • McAfee responded to Levesque: “I APPRECIATE YOU BOSS.. Thank you for everything. I’m lucky to be a member of the WWE Universe. I can’t wait to get back.”
  • On Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Seth Rollins discussed what working under Vince McMahon was like:
        • With Vince, it was like kind of a double-edged sword. On one hand you knew exactly who to go to all the time. Every answer needed to go through Vince. That was security in that. If you needed something and you needed an answer, pronto. He was right there. You knew exactly that if you got yes from him, nothing else beneath that mattered. So that was really cool.
        • You could understand his vision, once you worked with him for a long enough time. You started to understand that. On the other side of that, he was very flippant. He was very all over the place. That was to his credit, part of his genius, but it was also like very stressful to deal with as a talent.

  • WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded Goldberg vs. Triple H, Batista & Randy Orton from the November 17, 2003 episode of Raw, John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes from the September 7, 2009 Raw, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin in a no DQ match from Extreme Rules 2016.

  • Comedian Ron Funches tweeted that he’s been working on a cartoon with Danhausen and Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco company for the past six months: “For the past 6 months I’ve been working on a cartoon with @DanhausenAD & @TeamCoco. If you think that is a good idea please retweet and tag a network. We need all the positive energy we can get!”
  • Ric Flair said on his podcast that Bradley Cooper has been talked to about playing Flair in a movie: “Well, there’s talks right now that I can’t mention. They are making a movie about my life and I know that they’ve talked to Bradley Cooper. I could see him doing that. I could se him.. that’s the only name that’s come up I don’t.. That’s only rumored. I mean, I’ve heard it officially, but it’s not in place. So ladies and gentlemen, it’s not true that he’s playing Ric Flair. I’ve heard they’ve talked to him, that’s it. Bradley Cooper is not playing me in a movie, yet. I hope he does.”
  • In this week’s Ace’s High, Hiroshi Tanahashi reflected on working with Bryan Danielson earlier in their careers: “I remember that match, in Kobe World Hall! Danielson was just such a wrestler’s wrestler. To the very model; an orthodox opening, moving onto rope work, progressively bringing in bigger moves. He’s younger than me, but I was able to learn so much by wrestling him. He’s great. A smaller guy, but so strong, put together, and an expert on the mat. He wholly deserved to be a top guy.”
  • Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Katsuhiko Nakajima has been announced for King of Indies 2022. The show is being held in San Francisco on Saturday, November 19.
  • Shane Taylor’s Impact Wrestling debut will air on this week’s Before The Impact. Taylor is facing Crazzy Steve on the show.
  • Laredo Kid, Kommander & Microman vs. Black Taurus, Gino Medina & Mini Abismo Negro has been added to MLW Super Series, which is taking place in Norcross, Georgia on Sunday, September 18.
  • MLW and Range Sports have reached a partnership deal. Court Bauer spoke to Sports Illustrated: “With so much disruption in the content space, live sports are increasingly valued. Range has the resources to take Major League Wrestling to new heights by creating strategic partnerships that enrich and ensure our continued momentum.”
  • Deonna Purrazzo will face Jungle Kyona at Prestige Wrestling’s show in Portland, Oregon on Sunday, October 30.
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Effy is set for F1RST Wrestling’s Saturday Night Nitro at the Mall of America this Saturday.
