Tuesday Update

WWE

  • WWE shared the ECW-inspired opening video that will air on tomorrow night’s NXT, which is taking place from the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia.
  • NXT commentator Vic Joseph expressed his excitement for tomorrow’s show: “The first historic wrestling venue I ever worked at [as an indie broadcaster] was the @2300Arena it holds a special [place] in my heart – EXTREME-ly excited for #WWENXT tomorrow night on @TheCW!”
  • Bo Dallas told Collider that he feels like he’s keeping Bray Wyatt’s spirit alive with the Wyatt Sicks:
    • It’s been an absolutely insane year. Me and Windham had big plans when we got together, and we had a lot we were going to do. I thought that was all taken away, but through a lot of sequence of events, it’s like he’s still here with me. I always have something on that’s directly his, whether it’s his shoes, a pair of his socks, a glove—like he’s with me in every bit of this. I couldn’t do this if it wasn’t something I knew he would love. And I’m loving it too—it’s keeping him alive in my heart, in my life.
  • At the end of his latest vlog, Johnny Gargano paid tribute to Indi Hartwell following her WWE release, writing: “You’ll always be family. We [heart] you, Indi Wrestling.”
  • Casual Conversations with The Classic interviewed Damian Priest, who said he would love it if WWE allowed him and Rhea Ripley to team together and go after Tag Team gold:
    • That would be a game-changer for sure, if we were allowed to do that. For Rhea and I to win titles together? That would be very meaningful. We’ve talked about it. At the least, maybe they should bring back the Mixed Match Challenge thing and create a title for it.
  • While speaking with LandonBuford.com, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton teased that he might be in attendance for Royal Rumble 2025 in Indianapolis: “We do play that day. We might see it. I can’t tell you everything… Yeah, you might see me at the Rumble.”
  • NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez turns 23 years old today.
  • Seth Rollins was a guest on The Pivot Podcast.
  • Omos was interviewed on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast.
  • With a new introduction from Steve Blackman, WWE Vault uploaded Blackman vs. Shane McMahon from SummerSlam 2000.

AEW/Other Wrestling

  • In an interview with the Battleground Podcast, Mercedes Mone said she thinks there is enough talent in the AEW women’s division if the promotion ever wanted to have a weekly all-women’s show:
    • Wow, a weekly show, absolutely. I mean, we have the talent, so why not? All Elite Women’s Wrestling – there you go. We have the best women’s wrestling. From Willow, Mariah May, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Kris Statlander, Kamille – there is definitely an opportunity to have an all-women’s show every single week. So I don’t see why not.
  • Tokyo Sports spoke with Kenny Omega.
  • Isiah Kassidy uploaded a vlog recapping his summer and Private Party’s AEW Tag Team title win.
  • Masha Slamovich vs. Lei Ying Lee (former WWE wrestler Xia Li) has been announced for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII in Jersey City, New Jersey on Sunday, November 24.
  • The Andersons (Brock Anderson & CW Anderson) will be in action on the TV taping portion of MLW’s event in Cicero, Illinois this Saturday. Their opponents have not been announced.
  • Marko Stunt – who has announced his retirement from in-ring competition – was a guest on Love Wrestling.
