TUESDAY NEWS UPDATE

WWE

  • The New Day successfully defended their titles twice on Raw last night to ensure that they would break Demolition’s record and become the longest reigning tag champs in WWE history.
  • Last night’s show also saw the addition of two more matches to this Sunday’s Roadblock card. Sami Zayn will be getting his match against Braun Strowman after being granted it by Mick Foley, and Big Cass will face Rusev as part of their ongoing feud.
  • Emmalina failed to appear on last night’s Raw as was advertised. Another video advertising that her makeover would premiere soon was on the show instead.
  • 205 Live was taped before Raw last night.
  • There will be a battle royal to determine number one contenders for the Wyatt Family’s tag titles on SmackDown tonight. AJ Styles will also defend his WWE Championship against James Ellsworth.
  • Bray Wyatt tweeted to Matt Hardy about the invitation he sent to the Wyatt Family to appear on Total Nonstop Deletion. Of course, no one from WWE was involved in the show.
  • Randy Orton talks to SI’s Extra Mustard about his match with Brock Lesnar, and his role in the upcoming movie “Shooter.”
  • Good news, all you fans of Ric Flair and chicken wings — Flair is headed to the wing bowl in Philadelphia.
  • The Feb. 13 edition of RAW will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, tickets on sale Friday December 16th.
  • The Valentine’s day edition of SmackDown LIVE will be in Anaheim at the Honda Center. Tickets on sale this Friday.
