Smackdown and 205 Live are Tuesday in Tampa with Usos vs. Sheamus & Cesaro in a first round match in a tag tournament to get the tag title shot at the Bludgeon Brothers at SummerSlam.

  • Tyler Breeze continued to wrestle on the NXT road house show tour last night, losing a North American Championship match to Adam Cole in Riverside, California after Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong got involved. Aleister Black & EC3 defeated Tommaso Ciampa & Velveteen Dream in the main event. Breeze also made a cameo and wrestled at an NXT house show in Florida this May.
  • The “Walk With Elias” mockumentary that’s airing after Raw on Monday is listed as having an hour-long time slot on the WWE Network schedule. It’s about the making of Elias’ EP.
  • Cedric Alexander tweeted “You spelled quitter wrong” when someone wrote to him that it’s time for Neville to come back. Their tweet was in response to Alexander writing that the Age of Alexander will continue to reign supreme over 205 Live.
  • During an interview with Noelle Foley at San Diego Comic-Con, Rey Mysterio said that he’d love to close out his career with WWE and that he thinks he has anywhere from three to five years left in the ring.
  • Ember Moon told the Charleston Post and Courier that Beth Phoenix is her ultimate dream opponent.
  • Johnny Gargano spoke to the Arizona Republic about his relationship with Candice LeRae ahead of tomorrow’s house show in Phoenix.
  • Charlotte Flair appeared on Busted Open Radio earlier this week to discuss WWE’s Evolution PPV and her nearing a return to the ring.

  • Kenny Omega staying undefeated in the G1 Climax by defeating SANADA in the main event and Juice Robinson getting his first win by beating Toru Yano were the key developments in the B Block standings this morning. Kota Ibushi vs. Tomohiro Ishii was the standout match from today, along with Omega vs. SANADA. Here are the updated standings:

  • Cody Rhodes was interviewed about balancing putting together All In while wrestling on the show, his role on the next season of “Arrow,” and Flip Gordon on episode three of “All Us.”
  • Doug Williams defending his Atlas title against Trent Seven is set for PROGRESS Wrestling’s Wembley Arena show on September 30.
  • Defy Wrestling announced Toni Storm vs. Nicole Matthews for their August 10 show at Washington Hall in Seattle.

12th Annual F4W Empire Vegas Convention

Greetings friends and fans of the F4W / Wrestling Observer website. The 12th annual F4W / Wrestling Observer Empire Las Vegas Convention~! is just around the corner.

This year’s event will be taking place in Las Vegas from August 16th to the 20th and will again be in conjunction with WWE’s SummerSlam weekend a.k.a. Super China Buffet Day~! There will still be the usual events, but our big draw will be WWE’s summer blockbuster PPV, SummerSlam.
