Daily Update: DC off UFC 206, Cobb vs. Riddle, Cesaro’s Twitter

THE ROUND-UP

The Latest from the F4W Staff

The biggest news of today is Daniel Cormier being off UFC 206, where he was scheduled to headline, due to needing hernia surgery. The injury he got is the same injury Dwayne Johnson got in his second match with John Cena. Joe Silva has one last rabbit to pull out of his hat to save a show before leaving UFC as there is no logical opponent for Anthony Rumble Johnson considering he’s already knocked out Ryan Bader, Glover Teixeira and Alexander Gustafsson, the next three contenders.

FIGURE FOUR WEEKLY: 11/17/2016: More on Buddy Rose

During his time splitting time between the Portland and San Francisco territories, Buddy Rose continued to make trouble with the California State Athletic Commission throughout 1978 and 1979. For some reason, all of the incidents appear to have taken place in San Jose, like the one discussed last week where he was being penalized for a ref bump…click here to continue.

WRESTLING OBSERVER NEWSLETTER: Nov 28, 2016 Wrestling Observer Newsletter: WWE Survivor Series, Goldberg agrees to more matches

The improbable story of Bill Goldberg, weeks before his 50th birthday, coming back for what was supposed to be a one-time appearance to help promote the WWE’s video game, and emerging as the biggest star in pro wrestling just tells you that the axiom that it’s all about timing is true.

WON BACK ISSUE:December 6, 2010 Wrestling Observer Newsletter: The history of wrestling on Thanksgiving  – Thanksgiving in most of the 80s meant some of the biggest wrestling shows of the year.
