Tuesday Update

WWE
- Bray Wyatt commented on his passing-the-torch moment with The Undertaker from Raw’s 30th anniversary show: “This moment justified a lifetime of sacrifices for me. A lifetime of people treating my uniqueness like it was a disease. Through all the bad times I never changed myself to fit anyone’s narrative. I’m proud of that. Thank you Taker. #SuckItLAKnight”
- The Undertaker tweeted about the moment with Wyatt: “Moments define this industry. This one was special!”
- Mick Foley noted on Facebook that he politely declined to appear on last night’s Raw due to the hectic nature of his schedule:
- I was definitely asked by WWE, and politely declined due to the hectic nature of my schedule. If I had not taken the past couple days off – and instead traveled to Philadelphia for the show – I would be on the road for 32 consecutive days. I have been working on a new project – which has been great fun, but also requires a lot of travel – and I just really needed a couple days off to relax and see my wife and children.
- A showcase trailer for WWE 2K23 premiered during Raw last night.
- Charlotte Flair was a guest on NBC’s “Today” show this morning. During the interview, Charlotte was asked about seeing Ric Flair and Andrade El Idolo team together in Ric’s last match:
- Honestly, I was a little jealous. Because I was like, oh, I want to be a part of this. I’ve shared the ring with my dad but not in that capacity. But then again, my husband having the opportunity to be beside him and at the same time, I’m like, man, I wish my little brother could see this. And then my husband is a third-generational wrestler and then with my dad – it was awesome. Picture perfect, but I mean, I think my dad could have maybe just managed my husband. But it worked out.
- Grayson Waller posted a mock apology following the angle where he confronted Bron Breakker and brawled with him at the WWE Performance Center yesterday.
- Kofi Kingston was a guest on the Under the Ring podcast.
- WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded the following: 2015 Royal Rumble match, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship (Royal Rumble 2022), and Reigns & The Usos vs. Corbin, Ziggler & Roode (January 24, 2020 SmackDown).
AEW/Other Wrestling
- ROH ring announcer Bobby Cruise announced that he’s heading to Dynamite tomorrow for Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal: “I just got the call to be in Lexington tomorrow to announce this match on Dynamite. This means so much to me.”
- AEW uploaded its Road to Lexington video ahead of tomorrow’s Dynamite.
- Willow Nightingale was the guest on today’s edition of The Sessions with Renee Paquette.
- The latest episode of Sammy Guevara’s vlog is now available.
- For the first time since being released by WWE last October, Nigel McGuinness sent out a tweet this morning: “Appreciate all the kind wishes. Good year ahead.”
- The NWA announced that Jennacide isn’t medically cleared to compete on the live episode of NWA Power on January 31: “We’ve unfortunately received word that @JENNACIDE000 will not be medically cleared for physical action in the Jan. 31st #ChampionsSeries finals at the LIVE #NWAPowerrr. Negotiations are underway between Mgmt, Team Tyrus & Team RockNRoll regarding options.”
- Lince Dorado vs. Delirious is set for MLW’s SuperFight tapings in Philadelphia on Saturday, February 4.
- John Hennigan (the former John Morrison) will be part of Creator Clash 2, boxing Harley Morenstein from Epic Meal Time.
