Wednesday Update

WWE

AEW/Other Wrestling

  • A face-to-face with Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page has been added to tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
  • Due to unforeseen circumstances, Bryan Danielson won’t be able to make his scheduled appearance at the WrestleCade convention on Saturday, November 25. WrestleCade hopes to have Danielson back at another event in the future:
          • Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve been informed that Bryan Danielson will not be able to appear during #WrestleCade Weekend. If you bought an advance ticket to meet him, bring your ticket to the venue and his vendor will let you use it as a credit for one of his other clients appearing at the event including Mandy Sacs, Andrade or Lana. If you don’t want a credit, your refund will be processed accordingly.
          • The WrestleCade Weekend Team is sorry that this happened and we hope to have Danielson back at another event in the future.
  • MJF reflected on today being the third anniversary of his grandfather’s death:
          • Today is the hardest part of the year for me. It’s the third year anniversary of my grandfather’s death. I can’t even put into words how much this man molded me. Showed me how to sing. Showed me how to dance. Showed me how to dress. (I wear an article of his clothes every week) Showed me how to talk. Showed me how to walk. Showed me how to be a man. I love you Poppa.
  • On the Under the Ring podcast, Orange Cassidy discussed his friendship with Kris Statlander:
          • Kris Statlander is very special because she’s part of our little stable and her and I have become very good friends. She’s in a very similar spot that I was when I had my first title run that she’s in now, so we can kind of lean on each other and kind of help each other out. It’s not really so much that I’m mentoring her as we’re kind of just like bouncing ideas off each other. Then it’s also very easy when Kris Statlander is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, just to be like, ‘Oh, hey, you should do this’, and she does it incredibly, like, I’m not really doing too much. She’s already figured it out.
  • Fightful reports that Megha Parekh has “largely stepped back from her duties” as AEW’s chief legal officer in recent months to focus on Jacksonville Jaguars work.
