WWE

  • Lita posted a message on Instagram reflecting on her Raw Women’s Championship match against Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia: “What an experience. It’s hard to put into words everything I’ve felt these past few weeks. But I can say the support I’ve received from all of you has touched me deeply. I thank you so much for the time you took to cheer me on, and the faith you had in me to get back in the ring. To the women currently grinding on the road to keep raising the bar, you inspire me daily. If this was the end, I am so proud. If it is not, I will arrive more prepared, train harder, and find a way to dig deeper. #thankyou #wwechamber #saudiarabia #lita #wwe”

Other Wrestling

  • The AEW Awards will be making their return with a broadcast airing on YouTube at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, March 23. Voting for the awards is now open.
  • On his What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone spoke about Cody and Brandi Rhodes leaving AEW: “Cody Rhodes to me was one of the faces of AEW. Cody was the one who got me in touch with Tony Khan, and that’s why I signed. Of course, I’m very close to the family. We took many bus rides together to Jacksonville. I consider him and Brandi friends. I think we’re a better organization today because of them. I would like to wish them both the best and thank them for what they did for me. They played a major role in what AEW is. But, after you get over the shock of it, you kind of think, ‘You know what? It’s wrestling. It happens.’ This is the first one that’s left our company, but it’s one of our biggest names that left the company, so that’s why it’s the biggest shock. I’m very surprised and I hope he does well.”
  • Brandi Rhodes noted that her Shot of Brandi YouTube series belongs to her and will be continuing.

I’m so busy, working on the podcast, wrestling, and being in the gym. I love the grind, I love the hustle. And I loved WWE – and I could pitch ideas, but nine out of ten times, they wouldn’t happen. Now I can do whatever I want.”
