After losing the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, it took less than a month for Brock Lesnar to resurface in WWE. Roman Reigns speared Braun Strowman through a table, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose came out to fight on the outside, and Lesnar caused the Hell in a Cell match to end in a no contest.

  • Filming has wrapped on “‘Girl On The Third Floor,” a haunted house horror movie that stars CM Punk. Deadline wrote that Punk plays “Don Koch, a man who is failing as a husband. He now views fixing up an old house as a chance to make up for past mistakes. Meanwhile, his wife, Liz Koch, is concerned about the renovation timeline as they have a baby on the way. As Don tears the house apart, it begins to tear him apart as well, revealing the rot behind the drywall.” Deadline also noted that this is “the first movie for fledgling genre production and distribution outfit Queensbury Pictures.”
  • Despite Conor McGregor tweeting that tomorrow’s press conference to promote Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor will be open to the public, MMA Junkie reported that it will remain a press-only event. It will also be streamed live.
  • BetDSI put out a list of prop bets for tomorrow’s press conference.
  • Cris Cyborg called Amanda Nunes a traitor for associating with American Top Team and Colby Covington.
  • Tyron Woodley said that, if an MRI on his thumb comes back fine, he’d have no issue with facing Colby Covington in November.
  • Kayla Harrison has signed a new deal with the PFL and will be part of their women’s lightweight tournament next year.
  • This Monday was proclaimed Ilima-Lei Macfarlane Day in Honolulu in honor of Macfarlane, who is Bellator’s women’s flyweight champion.
  • Scott Coker, Rory MacDonald, Gegard Mousasi, Rampage Jackson, and Wanderlei Silva took part in a conference call today to promote Bellator 206, which will be taking place on September 29.
