  • CMLL wrestler Arkangel de la Muerte passed away at 51 years old after suffering an apparent heart attack.
  • The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes will be hosting an eight-hour “Bullet Club is Fine” marathon on AXS TV on July 7th, leading up to that night’s G1 Special at the Cow Palace. Here’s the schedule for the marathon (all times Eastern):
    12 p.m. — Kenny Omega vs. Jay White (New Beginning in Sapporo)
    1 p.m. — The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) vs. Cody & Marty Scurll (Honor Rising 2018)
    2 p.m. — The Golden Lovers vs. The Young Bucks (Strong Style Evolved)

  • Jushin Thunder Liger threw out the first pitch at a Japanese baseball game and then wrestled one of the mascots.
  • Aztec Warfare IV will be airing on tonight’s season four premiere of Lucha Underground.
  • Adam Cole’s NXT North American Championship defense against WALTER at EVOLVE 107 on June 24th won’t be airing on the broadcast for the show but is being taped to potentially be used in the future.
  • EVOLVE 106 on June 23rd has been moved from La Boom in Queens to the Most Precious Blood Youth Center in Brooklyn. The show will start at 8 p.m. Eastern time and stage tickets that were bought for Queens will be ringside tickets in Brooklyn. The promotion noted for ticket holders to contact Trevin@WWNLive.com about a refund if they can’t attend at the new venue.
  • Joey Janela will be challenging for Austin Theory’s WWN Championship at EVOLVE 106. Here are the updated lineups for the shows:

  • ROH announced a United States vs. United Kingdom International Cup tournament for their Honor Re-United tour shows this August. The first round will take place in Edinburgh on August 16th, the semifinals and finals are set for Doncaster on the 18th, and the winner will challenge for the ROH World Championship in London on the 19th.
  • PCW Ultra changed the name of their July 27th show in Los Angeles from “All Violence is Legal” to “Sound the Alarm” after backlash due to Rich Swann being booked on it. Swann will still be appearing, and the name of the show wasn’t a reference to him. Su Yung, Swann’s wife, tweeted in defense of her husband: “@GottaGetSwann is amazing & talented. Any & all crowds should be lucky to see him live. We happy. He doesn’t beat me. Stop harrasing him. RT”
  • Jimmy Havoc vs. Tom Lawlor is set for MLW’s TV tapings in Orlando on July 12th.
  • ICW debuted a new design for their World title.

12th Annual F4W Empire Vegas Convention

Greetings friends and fans of the F4W / Wrestling Observer website. It’s time to announce the details of the 12th annual F4W / Wrestling Observer Empire Las Vegas Convention~!

This year’s event will be taking place in Las Vegas from August 16th to the 20th and will again be in conjunction with WWE’s SummerSlam weekend a.k.a. Super China Buffet Day~! There will still be the usual events, but our big draw will be WWE’s summer blockbuster PPV, SummerSlam. As per tradition, we will all gorge ourselves at a Las Vegas buffet, and then watch SummerSlam in a rented out movie theater. All information and ticketing prices are available now. Sign up ASAP as spots are limited for some events. 

This year will also feature a Future Stars Wrestling show which will include the first ever Gladys Gibson Doubles Match Classic! Already booked for the show are the teams Mia Yim & Leva Bates, Lufisto & Shotzi Blackheart, Samantha Heights & Brittany Blake, and Miranda Alize & Kylie Rae. Kris Wolf will also be appearing along with many more future stars. There may even be a classic star or two making an appearance. You won’t want to miss this show!
