Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros, Athena debut set for AEW Rampage
A past tag team feud will be rekindled on Friday’s live AEW Rampage as the Young Bucks will take on the Lucha Bros.
The two battled over the AEW Tag Team titles with Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix finally wresting the titles from the Jackson brothers at last September’s All Out in a highly regarded cage match.
This week is a homecoming for the Bucks as both Dynamite (Los Angeles) and Rampage (Ontario) are in their home state of California for the first time.
Friday’s show will also feature the in-ring debut of Athena, the former Ember Moon in WWE, after she debuted at last Sunday’s Double or Nothing in backing up Kris Statlander and Anna Jay against TBS Champion Jade Cargill, Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan.
After there was another confrontation Wednesday between all six women and Cargill publicist Stokely Hathaway, it was announced that she will face Hogan Friday.
In a match teased at Double or Nothing, TNT Champion Scorpio Sky will defend against Dante Martin. Sky is also a California native and formerly part of SCU.
