Women’s Championship match set for next week’s AEW Dynamite
A match for the AEW Women’s Championship is set for next week’s Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite.
In addition, FTR will meet The Gunns (Colten and Austin Gunn), and the Death Triangle will meet The Elite in match 5 of their best of seven series.
Hikaru Shida defeated The Bunny on the December 9 edition of AEW Rampage to retain her Regina Di WAVE title. After the match, Jamie Hayter emerged and the two had a staredown. On Wednesday’s Dynamite, it was confirmed Shida would get her title match next week.
FTR and The Gunns have been feuding in recent weeks, with The Gunns attacking FTR after they lost the ROH Tag Team titles to The Briscoes at Final Battle this past Saturday. FTR challenged The Gunns on Wednesday’s show.
After Death Triangle used a hammer to defeat The Elite on Wednesday’s Dynamite to give them their third win, Kenny Omega took the microphone and challenged Death Triangle to a no disqualification match for their fifth match, saying that way the hammer would be legal. Death Triangle agreed to the stipulation.
Swerve Strickland will have a face-to-face with Keith Lee after Strickland walked out on Lee during last Saturday’s ROH Final Battle.
