Willow Nightingale confirms new AEW contract: ‘I am happy where I am’

Willow Nightingale has confirmed that she has re-signed with AEW.
Last week, it was reported that the 31-year-old had agreed to a new deal, although the length and terms were not disclosed. During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Nightingale confirmed the news.
“That is true, yes. I am happy where I am. I think there is so much left ahead for me to do at AEW, things that I want to accomplish. But also, I’m just really excited to be a part of something when it’s fresh and new and, like, you know, I think we’re past the years of finding our footing,” she said.
The former TBS Champion says that being able to wrestle with CMLL and NJPW factored into her decision.
“I think one of the most amazing things about All Elite Wrestling is that we have great international partners, and I can be someone who’s featured on television regularly week in, week out, and I can still take a weekend off and hop on an international flight to Tokyo or Mexico City,” Nightingale continued.
“And I know that we’ve got partners over there who are going to take care of me. I’m going to have a fun, hard-hitting match, where I get to learn more about my craft, take away another style, in a professional setting.”
“And I am just so fortunate to be able to do it, because AEW allows me to, and I can continue to do so.”
If I teamed with @TrueWillieHobbs I’d call us BIG WILLZ and yes it would be all caps like that and you’d kinda have to say it like a crazed maniac a little bit, very important https://t.co/MAYwtUglfs

Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing
Although not officially confirmed, Nightingale appears likely to be a member of Swerve Strickland’s team in Anarchy in the Arena at Double or Nothing on Sunday. She has been building a rivalry with Marina Shafir of late on AEW programming. The story continues on Dynamite this Wednesday when Jon Moxley and the Young Bucks take on Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Swerve Strickland in an All Star Trios match.
