Will Ospreay gifted shirt to young fan who got involved in AEW Dynamite match

Will Ospreay gifted a T-shirt to the young fan who helped him out on AEW Dynamite last week.

When Ospreay faced MJF on Dynamite 250 last Wednesday, there was a moment in the match that instantly went viral on social media. As the two brawled in the crowd, Ospreay held MJF up so a seven-year-old fan named Mia could punch him in the chest. MJF responded by sticking up his middle finger at Mia.

Mia and her father Stan Liszewski made an appearance on KATV News in Little Rock, Arkansas to discuss her unexpected involvement in the AEW International Championship match. She was wearing an Ospreay shirt that Stan noted was given to her by the AEW star.

“Will Ospreay, the hero — at that time he was the champion. As you can see, he gave her one of his shirts,” Stan said. “It was a spur of the moment thing. He saw somebody cheering her on right next to him and put MJF in like a little reverse hold and was like, ‘Jump on in.’ It happened so fast. I wasn’t going to tell her no. So I was like, ‘Just go for it.’ And the whole crowd cheered her on, so we just went with it and it came out to be a really special experience.”

Stan noted that they’re a big pro wrestling household and this was Mia’s first live show. Her older brother was at the show too but missed his sister’s moment because he was going to the bathroom.

When MJF gave her the middle finger, Mia wanted to respond by giving him the same gesture back. Stan said he thought that would have been going a little too far.

Mia said she’s feeling “very, very good” and last week made her feel like a celebrity.

The Ospreay vs. MJF match opened Dynamite 250 and went nearly 60 minutes, ending with MJF defeating Ospreay to become the new International Champion.

AEW has announced that we’ll hear from MJF on this Wednesday’s Dynamite episode.
