Wheeler Yuta not cleared for AEW vs. CMLL match at Homenaje a Dos Leyendas

  • Ian Carey

A change has been made to the lineup for Friday’s CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas.

Wheeler Yuta is not medically cleared for the show and will be replaced by Matt Sydal.

Yuta has been dealing with an undisclosed injury and hasn’t wrestled since January 10. He was originally scheduled to team with his BCC teammates Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson, and Jon Moxley against Volador Jr., Mistico, Blue Panther & Ultimo Guerrero.

CMLL posted a letter they received from AEW informing them of Yuta’s status. It reads:

Dear CMLL;

This letter is to inform you that WHEELER YUTA is not medically cleared for travel or any in ring activities at this time and will not be able to participate in your upcoming event. I have obtained authorization from Wheeler Yuta to share this information to CMLL and all involved. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any questions that I may be able to answer, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

ALL ELITE WRESTLING, LLC
