Two title matches set for next week’s AEW Dynamite

Next week’s AEW Dynamite will feature two of the company’s four recognized championships being defended in addition to the other two champions in action.

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will look to keep their AEW Tag Team titles when they face the no. 1 contenders in the Dark Order (Stu Grayson/Evil Uno). The Elite members have seven successful title defenses since winning the belts in late-January while Grayson and Uno haven’t lost since the November 6th Dynamite.

TNT Champion Cody will continue his weekly open challenge against “one of the top independent wrestlers in the world” after defeating the debuting Eddie Kingston Wednesday.

Women’s champion Hikaru Shida will face Diamante in what is believed to be a non-title match, fresh off her win Wednesday over the returning Ivelisse. Shida is 4-0 since defeating Nyla Rose for the title at Double or Nothing but only one of those was a title match (Penelope Ford).

In other action:

  • AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will team with Darby Allin to take on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a tornado match, accompanied by Taz. As Allin came out to confront Cage Wednesday, he was attacked by Starks from behind for the second time this week. As the two beat down Allin, Moxley ran in and chased them off. The rules are that all men can be in the ring at the same time.
  • In a ten man tag, Best Friends will team with Orange Cassidy, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy to take on the Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Santana, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager). The match was made at the very end of Wednesday’s show as all the men involved were in a show closing brawl.
