Two title matches announced for AEW Rampage

Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage will feature two title matches in addition to a first-time matchup between two of the company’s top young stars.
In one of the championship bouts, AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy will defend against Best Friends’ teammate Trent Beretta. This will be their first-ever singles match.
This was made backstage on Dynamite Wednesday as Kip Sabian continued to campaign for a title match, saying he should earn one after eliminating Cassidy in last Friday’s Three Kings battle royal. It backfired as Beretta said he eliminated Sabian so he should get a shot which Cassidy agreed with.
After winning two title eliminators last week, TBS Champion Jade Cargill will put her title and undefeated streak on the line against former Baddie Kiera Hogan. Cargill kicked Hogan out of the group several weeks ago and Hogan has looked for revenge ever since.
This will be a rematch from their August 2021 bout on the Last Dance edition of Rampage that Cargill won in 65 seconds.
In another first-time match, Swerve Strickland will face Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club. Yuta challenged Strickland backstage as the latter gloated with his new faction following last Wednesday’s attack on Keith Lee.
AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter and Jon Moxley will also be on hand to share some thoughts in separate promos.
Here’s the lineup being taped after Wednesday’s Dynamite in Broomfield, Colorado:
