Two title matches added to AEW Battle of the Belts III
Two new title matches have been added to Battle of the Belts III.
Thunder Rosa will defend the AEW Women’s Championship against Jamie Hayter, while Wardlow will defend the TNT title against Jay Lethal. A third match, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the ROH World Championship, has already been announced. The show will air on Saturday after being taped during Friday’s Rampage event.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh attacked Orange Cassidy after Lethal beat him in the opening match. Wardlow came out for the save. Dutt then demanded that Wardlow put up the TNT title at Battle of the Belts, with Wardlow accepting.
In a tag team match that took place Wednesday, Hayter and Britt Baker scored a win over Toni Storm and Rosa after miscommunication between Rosa and Storm led to Storm accidentally laying out Rosa with a hip attack in the corner. This allowed Hayter to pin Storm with a short-arm clothesline.
