Trios Championship match official for AEW Double or Nothing

The Unified Trios title match for Double or Nothing is now official.
The Lucha Bros. (Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo) defeated The Gunns on Saturday’s AEW Collision. Per the stipulations of the match, Death Triangle vs. The Bang Bang Gang on Sunday’s pay-per-view will now be for the Trios titles.
On AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday, PAC brought out the Lucha Bros. to fight the Bang Bang Gang, who had targeted and attacked PAC. It was there that Death Triangle challenged Jay White & The Gunns for Double or Nothing.
The Lucha Bros. had not wrestled as a team since WrestleDream back in October. Fenix had been out of action for most of 2024 far with an injury.
Meanwhile, a new trios match was added to the AEW Double or Nothing Buy-In pre-show, as The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn will battle Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony. The Acclaimed & The Gates of Agony were part of a four-way tag team match that took place on Collision, with Buddy Matthews and Brody King scoring the win.
