Tony Khan introduces ROH Women’s Television title on Ring of Honor TV

A new championship has been unveiled in Ring of Honor.
In a segment on Thursday’s Ring of Honor TV show, company owner Tony Khan introduced the Ring of Honor Women’s World Television Championship, displaying the new belt.
In an accompanying social media post, ROH heralded the new title as the start of a new chapter:
A new chapter begins in #ROH as the #ROH Owner & CEO @TonyKhan has introduced a new title..the #ROH Women’s World TV Championship.
No announcements were made as to when a first Women’s TV Champion will be crowned, or how the first title holder will be decided.
The Women’s TV Championship will be the seventh title recognized by ROH, joining the ROH World Championship, ROH Pure Championship, ROH World Television Championship, ROH World Tag Team Championship, ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, and the ROH Women’s World Championship.
The Women’s TV title will be the second women’s division championship recognized by ROH. Athena currently holds the ROH Women’s World Championship in a reign that has stretched over a full year after she defeated Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle 2022 to win the belt. Athena’s most recent defense came against Billie Starkz in the main event of Final Battle 2023 last Friday.
