Toni Storm advances in AEW Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament

Toni Storm is the first to advance in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Storm faced Jamie Hayter. The finish had Hayter hit a superplex from the top rope. Storm countered with a cradle, then connected with the Storm Zero for the win.

With the win, Storm now advances to the semifinals of the tournament. Her opponent will be determined on Friday’s AEW Rampage, when Riho faces Ruby Soho.

Next week, another quarterfinal match will take place on Dynamite, with Britt Baker facing a joker mystery opponent. The two finalists will meet at Double or Nothing on May 29.

In the men’s tournament, Jeff Hardy and Adam Cole advanced to the semifinals on tonight’s Dynamite, with Cole defeating Dax Harwood of FTR in the opening match, while Hardy defeated Darby Allin. Two more quarterfinal matches will take place on next week’s Dynamite, with Samoa Joe facing a mystery joker participant while Kyle O’Reilly will face Rey Fenix.
