TNT Championship match set for AEW House Rules

A new match has been added to Saturday’s AEW house show in Ohio.

After Powerhouse Hobbs retained the TNT Championship on Rampage against Rey Fenix, it was announced on AEW’s Twitter account he would next defend the championship against Christopher Daniels at AEW’s House Rules even in Troy, Ohio.

“There is no rest for TNT Champ #PowerhouseHobbs after facing Rey Fenix on #AEWRampage, his Open Challenge has been answered by @facdaniels for #AEWHouseRules TOMORROW NIGHT in Troy, OH!,” the tweet reads.

Hobbs won the championship last week on AEW Dynamite, defeating Wardlow thanks to the help of QT Marshall. Marshall and Aaron Solo, who appeared on QTV with Marshall and Hobbs, were in the corner of Hobbs on Friday. After the match, Marshall dropped Fenix’s manager Alex Abrahantes with a diamond cutter.
