The Gunns vs. FTR Tag Team title match set for April 5 AEW Dynamite
A date and location has been announced for the AEW Tag Team title match between The Gunns and FTR — one with big stakes for the former champions.
The match will take place on the Wednesday, April 5th Dynamite on Long Island, New York.
The stipulation made on last Wednesday’s show was that if FTR cannot defeat the Gunns and regain the titles, they will leave the company. There has been speculation regarding Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler’s future with AEW as their contracts are said to be up next month, giving the stipulation more intrigue.
Austin & Colten Gunn will be gunning for the third defense of the titles they won from The Acclaimed in February.
FTR will be looking for their second run as champions as their first came to an end at the hands of the Young Bucks back in November 2020.
Their failed challenge of then-champions The Acclaimed last December was part of a losing streak where they also eventually lost the IWGP Tag Team titles and AAA Tag Team titles in separate matches.
The new addition joins the previously announced Jamie Hayter vs. Riho AEW Women’s title match, and Juice Robinson vs. Ricky Starks.
