The Elite issues challenge for Blood & Guts match on AEW Dynamite
Blood and Guts is returning next month.
AEW Dynamite on Wednesday opened up with The Elite interrupting Swerve Strickland., who was in the ring cutting a promo.They issued a challenge to the AEW locker room to take them on in a Blood and Guts match. Matthew Jackson told Swerve that they needed a fifth man and were willing to put their differences aside if he would join them. Swerve rejected the offer, which led to a brawl. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn ran down for the save.
Tony Schiavone later announced on the show that Blood and Guts would take place on the July 25 edition of Dynamite in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena.
The Elite have been on a roll since their reformation earlier this year, winning the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing in May. The Elite have also boasted about putting people like Eddie Kingston and FTR out of action, with Kingston and Dax Harwood both off the road with injuries.
