The Acclaimed vs. FTR Tag Team title match, MJF promo set for AEW Dynamite
Two title matches were among the additions to this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
In one, AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed will defend against multi-promotional titleholders FTR who will finally get a shot at regaining the titles they lost nearly a year ago.
On Friday’s Rampage, FTR came out during The Acclaimed’s promo where they were set to announce what was next for them, pushing through the Gunn Club, who were running the champions down on the mic, and Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal.
In the other, Darby Allin challenged TNT Champion Samoa Joe to a title match Wednesday. Allin is a former TNT Champion, losing the title in May 2021 to Miro. Joe will also be defending the ROH TV title against Juice Robinson at next Saturday’s ROH Final Battle.
After the events of this past Wednesday, AEW World Champion MJF will be on the show to give some insight and thoughts ahead of his Winter is Coming title defense against Ricky Starks.
In trios action, TBS Champion Jade Cargill will team with The Baddies (Red Velvet & Leila Grey) against former Baddie Kiera Hogan, Madison Rayne and Skye Blue.
The new additions to the card join the previously announced Dynamite Diamond Ring battle royal, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta vs. Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia, and an interview with AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter.
