The Acclaimed crowned AEW World Tag Team Champions at Dynamite Grand Slam
The Acclaimed are the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
The Acclaimed’s Max Caster and Anthony Bowens defeated Swerve In Our Glory’s Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee to win the AEW World Tag Team titles at Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday night in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
After defeating The Acclaimed in a Tag title match at All Out earlier this month, Swerve In Our Glory lost the rematch at Dynamite Grand Slam, ending their title reign at 70 days. Swerve In Our Glory had captured the Tag titles at Dynamite Fyter Fest on July 13, defeating Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks, and Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks of Team Taz in a triple threat bout.
The Acclaimed’s win was the second title change of the night at Grand Slam, as Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli to win the Ring of Honor World Championship in the show’s opening contest.
