Texas Death Match rules added to AEW All In World title bout

Next Saturday’s AEW World title match between champion Jon Moxley and Hangman Page at AEW All In: Texas will now be a bit more violent than expected.

Made on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, the Moxley vs. Page title bout will now be a Texas Death Match, a rematch from more than two years ago.

Page opened the show by issuing the challenge to Moxley after the events of last Wednesday when Page was choked out by a chain amid a Death Riders attack. This week, he said to bring on The Elite and Death Riders or give him death: a Texas Death Match. Moxley came out and initially turned him down, challenging Page’s manhood and saying he was going to lose because he didn’t want to win.

Moxley said Page wouldn’t survive it and it wouldn’t be something he’d walk away from. The two then began to brawl before Page pulled out a fork. Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir and Claudio Castagnoli then attacked Page and left him laying. Page called out Castagnoli as a b*tch afterward for the attack and The Opps backed Page up as the Death Riders slinked away.

Shafir attempted to hit Page with a briefcase, but Page grabbed the case instead and told Moxley to give him the match as he had something he wanted. A fired up Moxley then agreed, followed by Page hitting the Buckshot lariat on Shafir as payback.

Among their extensive rivalry was a Texas Death Match at March 2023’s Revolution that Page won (seen above). Page is 4-1 all-time in his speciality match while Moxley is 1-2.
