The growing conflict between former AEW World Champion Hangman Page and former AEW Tag Team Champion turned executive Christopher Daniels will come to head on next Saturday’s AEW Collision.
In a taped promo Saturday, Page (pictured above) decreed that he will face Daniels in a Texas Death Match as part of the Maximum Carnage edition of Collision — Page’s specialty match. It will be his fifth Texas Death Match ever with his lone loss to Swerve Strickland at November 2023’s Full Gear.
During another backstage conflict last week, Page got physical with Daniels who then attacked Page and left him bloodied up.
Daniels hasn’t wrestled since last September, but has had one Texas Death match in his career, that being against Cody Rhodes at November 2017’s Survival of the Fittest.
The two have shared the ring 15 times over the course of their careers. They have had just once singles match, however, with Page picking up the win in February 2018 in Ring of Honor.
The show will be taped this Thursday in Cincinnati, Ohio, for air next Saturday. It’s the first match announced for the show.
