Tag Team title rematch set for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

A rematch between AEW Tag Team Champions Swerve In Our Glory and The Acclaimed is official for the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite on Wednesday, September 21st.
The two teams clashed at last Sunday’s All Out in one of the night’s most competitive and exciting matches with Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland managing to retain the titles.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite, The Acclaimed walked out to the ring for a promo but before Max Caster could begin, Strickland came out and verbally ran down the team to a chorus of boos. Billy Gunn and Anthony Bowens then retorted.
Following the events of Sunday’s Zero Hour pre-show, it appears FTW Champion & rapper Action Bronson will face 2point0 at the event.
Last Sunday, Bronson came to Hook’s aid after Matt Menard and Angelo Parker attacked following Hook’s win over Parker. In a video package that aired Wednesday, Bronson said he wanted to see Menard and Parker in Queens with the Jericho Appreciation Society responding in kind.
The night will be headlined by the finals of the newly-announced Tournament of Champions to determine a new AEW World Champion.
Here’s the official matches announced for AEW’s return to Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY:
- AEW World title tournament final: TBD vs. TBD
- AEW Tag Team Champions Swerve In Our Glory defend against The Acclaimed
- Hook & Action Bronson vs. 2point0 (yet to be officially confirmed)
