Swerve Strickland vs. Kyle Fletcher title eliminator match set for AEW Dynamite

A title eliminator match is set for AEW Dynamite.
Tony Khan announced on Wednesday that Swerve Strickland will face ROH Television Champion Kyle Fletcher in a title eliminator match. The match comes just days after Strickland defeated Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty to win the AEW World Championship for the first time. Fletcher most recently teamed with Konosuke Takeshita, losing to Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli on Collision.
“Will AEW’s home venue be Swerve’s House when ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher challenges the NEW AEW World Champion in an Eliminator TOMORROW?” Khan wrote on X.
Another match will see Anna Jay face Stardom’s Mina Shirakawa. On the April 10 edition of Dynamite, Shirakawa ran to the ring to make the save for her friend Mariah May. After Jay fled, Shirakawa grabbed wine glasses and the two shared a drink. She then kissed May to end the segment.
Chuck Taylor will give his ultimatum to either Orange Cassidy or Trent Beretta over who his best friend is after Beretta told Taylor to make a choice at AEW Dynasty. We’ll also hear from Chris Jericho following his FTW Championship win.
Also added to Wednesday’s lineup, new TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will celebrate her title win.
Here is the updated lineup for AEW Dynamite, which will be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville and will air live coast-to-coast at 8 pm ET:
- IWGP World Championship: Jon Moxley defends against Powerhouse Hobbs
- AEW World title eliminator match: Swerve Strickland vs. Kyle Fletcher
- Anna Jay vs. Mina Shirakawa
