Swerve Strickland cast in horror film ‘Stiletto’

Swerve Strickland has been cast in another horror film.
The 33-year-old has landed a role in the upcoming slasher film “Stiletto,” Deadline is reporting.
Samuel Gonzalez Jr. has signed on to write and direct the project while Gigi Gustin is set to star and serve as executive producer.
“A year after the grisly murder of a local exotic dancer, the victim’s sister, Lyric [Gustin], searches for the serial killer responsible as he stalks and kills his favorite dancers on the night of the anniversary,” a plot description for the film reads.
It’s not clear what role Strickland will play in the film.
Strickland worked with both Gustin and Gonzalez Jr. previously on 2023’s Night of the Missing, currently airing on Screambox. He played the role of Ray in the film.

Gonzalez Jr. told Deadline that Stilleto “follows in the bloody footsteps” of slasher films from the 1980s.
“When I was a kid I would venture into the back section of the video store to find the most obscure 80s horror flicks I could find,” he said. “I was fascinated with the ‘strange and unusual’ but most specifically, the early slasher cinema of that period.”
“Stiletto follows in the bloody footsteps of those films we love so much but also pushes it to the cinematic limit, with memorable kills and a diverse cast of both up-and-comers and legends alike. It’s a true love ‘obituary’ and we can’t wait to introduce the world to our Stiletto Killer,” Gonzalez Jr. continued.
