Skye Blue match stopped on AEW Collision following ankle injury

Skye Blue has injured her ankle.

During a match against Hikaru Shida on Saturday, Shida went for a crossbody to the outside, landing on Blue. Upon impact, Blue was checked on by the referee and the match was stopped shortly after.

Video on social media showed Blue being helped to the back by medical staff, with her right leg being favored.

On X, Tony Khan said that Blue had suffered an ankle injury and was being tended to by AEW’s doctors.

“Our previous match was stopped + @shidahikaru was declared the winner, due to an ankle injury to @Skyebyee Skye Blue is being evaluated now by the Doctors; we’re all wishing her the very best,” he wrote.

An interview with Shida later on Collision had the former women’s champion challenge Britt Baker for this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, saying she had broken Baker’s nose before and would do it again.

Last week’s Collision saw Blue defeat Harley Cameron. Later, in a promo, she called out Shida and issued a challenge for this week’s show.
