Shida vs. Rosa, Casino Battle Royale, more set for AEW All Out

This post was updated at 10:05 PM Eastern.

AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa is now official for AEW All Out.

Last Saturday, Rosa made a surprise appearance on Dynamite and challenged Shida to a title match at the company’s September pay-per-view. On Thursday’s Dynamite in a video package, Shida accepted and the contract was signed. The match is not title vs. title and is for just Shida’s belt.

Rosa has been champion since January but with the NWA in a hiatus due to the pandemic, Tony Khan approached Billy Corgan about Rosa’s availability and a deal was worked out. Corgan and footage of Rosa in the NWA were part of the video package Thursday.

Shida has been champion since May 23rd when she defeated Nyla Rose at Double or Nothing to win the title.
