Shawn Spears vs. Scorpio Sky set for AEW Dynamite

In a match announced Monday afternoon, Scorpio Sky will face Shawn Spears on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

The two were originally scheduled to square off last Wednesday, but Sky was held out due to COVID-19 precautions as he came in contact with someone who tested positive. As always, Spears will be flanked by Tully Blanchard.

We were told that after AEW initially announced a Tag Team Title match between the Young Bucks and Top Flight, that match is not happening. No reason was given other than the announcement was made prematurely, but the match could be made in the future. As of now, they will be featured in a video package on the show.

Wednesday’s show will also include MJF and Wardlow’s induction into The Inner Circle; Cody Rhodes’ first promo since losing the TNT title to Darby Allin Saturday; Penta El Zero M vs. Rey Fenix II; Tay Conti (w/ Anna Jay) vs. Red Velvet (w/ Brandi Rhodes); and The Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall) vs. The Butcher & The Blade (w/ The Bunny) in a bunkhouse match.
