Semifinals set for AEW Grand Slam World title eliminator tournament


The semifinals are set for the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam World title eliminator tournament.
Samoa Joe and Penta El Zero Miedo punched their tickets to the semifinals with victories on Friday’s AEW Rampage episode and will face each other for a spot in the finals on Saturday’s Collision show.
Penta defeated Jay Lethal in the Rampage opener to advance, while Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy in the Rampage main event to move on in the tournament.
The other semifinal bout was set on Wednesday as both Roderick Strong and Darby Allin scored victories in the quarterfinal round and will square off on Saturday’s Collision.
The tournament finals will take place on the Wednesday, September 13 Dynamite, with the winner advancing to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 20.
