Sammy Guevara not cleared for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite

Sammy Guevara isn’t cleared to return to the ring yet.
Guevara took to social media on Tuesday to give an update on his condition. Guevara said he had both good and bad news. The bad news is that he’s not cleared to compete yet. The good news is that he’s feeling better every day.
“Good news, bad news. Bad news I’m not cleared yet,” Guevara wrote. “Good news everyday I’m feeling better. Sorry Houston I really wanted to put on a show for y’all. Hopefully next time. Also F*ck Chris Jericho.”
At AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view earlier this month, Guevara suffered a concussion during a trios tag match. Guevara teamed with Konosuke Takeshita & Will Ospreay against Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi. Guevara pinned Jericho to win the match.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Guevara was hoping to be cleared for Dynamite this week. The episode is taking place in the Houston area, which is where Guevara is from.
Meltzer said:
I know he wants to be ready Wednesday. I don’t know if it will happen. He had a setback but overall he was doing well recovering from the concussion at the last pay-per-view.
He should be back relatively soon, at least that’s the hope. But because the Wednesday show, this coming Wednesday, is right outside of Houston and that’s where he’s from, so he really wanted to be on the show.
Guevara turned against Jericho at Dynamite Grand Slam this September. Guevara aligned with Don Callis and joined the Don Callis Family.
On the October 4 edition of Dynamite following WrestleDream, Guevara was supposed to team with Takeshita against Jericho & Omega. Kyle Fletcher replaced Guevara in the match.
