ROH Television title match set for next week’s AEW Rampage

Samoa Joe will defend the Ring of Honor World Television Championship on the September 16 AEW Rampage episode. 

In a bout announced on this week’s Rampage, Joe will defend the ROH TV title against Josh Woods. Joe returned to AEW at All Out following a hiatus during production of Peacock’s Twisted Metal.

As Joe was delivering a promo on Rampage, Mark Sterling, Tony Nese, and Woods interrupted. Sterling issued the challenge to Joe, and Joe stated that he was happy to do the match right there and then. Instead, Sterling insisted that the match take place on next week’s episode. 

Joe plays the role of Sweet Tooth in the Twisted Metal series, while his character will be voiced by Will Arnett. The series will also star Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, and Richard Cabral. Neve Campbell is also set for a recurring role in the series.
