Ring of Honor TV results: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Bryan Keith


Ring of Honor has a big lineup announced for tonight’s show on HonorClub.
The ROH World TV title, Tag Team titles, and the AAA Mega Championship will all be defended on the show.
Some of the matches scheduled to air tonight were taped on Wednesday, January 10 in Jacksonville, and others were taped on Saturday, January 13 in Norfolk, Virginia. Spoilers from the Jacksonville show are available here and spoilers from Norfolk are available here.

ROH started with a rundown of tonight’s card before recapping Nyla Rose’s attack on Athena at her training school. Billie Starkz was hopping mad backstage with Lexy Nair, upset that they let Athena get jumped. Nair calmed Starkz down and got her to focus on her match tonight.
Nyla Rose defeated Erica Leigh
Rose got a quick, dominant win, finishing Leigh off with the Beast Bomb.
ROH World Tag Team Title Match – The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeated Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) (w/Jacked Jameson) to retain
Bennett and Taven quickly took Bronson into their corner, but Bronson came back with a back body drop on Bennett. Boulder tagged in and scored a nearfall with a sidewalk slam. Bennett avoided the trip to the sophomorically named city before Taven helped him double-team Bronson.
A spinebuster/moonsault combo scored a nearfall for the Kingdom as they continued to clubber on Bronson. Bronson avoided several attacks before getting the tag into Boulder. Boulder caught both men and dropped them with a powerbomb/World’s Strongest Slam combo for a nearfall.
The Kingdom sent Boulder to the floor and eventually knocked him down, but Bronson followed Taven to the floor with a dive. Bronson hit a tree slam in the ring for a nearfall. Taven reversed a powerbomb to hit Just The Tip, and a Death Valley Driver led to a second Just The Tip for a nearfall. The Kingdom hit the Hail Mary to score the win and their first successful defense of the titles.
Claudio Castagnoli defeated Bryan Keith
This match was a definite showcase for Keith, taking Castagnoli over the ten-minute mark. The company seems to have high hopes for Keith, and he’s proven himself worthy of the opportunities.
Unfortunately, Keith did not come out to Still Tippin’ this week. Castagnoli and Keith traded strikes early on, with Castagnoli dropping Keith with a shoulder block. Castagnoli peppered Keith with body shots in the corner before locking on a cravate. Keith fought out and sent Castagnoli to the floor with boots.
Keith followed Castagnoli to the floor and laid in leg kicks. Back in the ring, Castagnoli shut down Keith with a chokeslam and an elbow drop for a nearfall. Castagnoli clubbered on Keith in the corner, dropping him with a bodyslam and a leg drop when he tried to fight out. Castagnoli gorilla pressed Keith onto the top turnbuckle, sending him tumbling to the floor. Castagnoli followed Keith outside and laid him out with another bodyslam.
Keith beat the 20-count back into the ring and kicked out of a running uppercut. Keith came back with a tornado DDT. Keith sent Castagnoli to the floor and laid in chest kicks as Castagnoli laid against the unattended announce table. Castagnoli sent Keith into the barricade and laid him out with a running uppercut.
Castagnoli went to the top rope, but Keith hit a jumping headbutt. Castagnoli came back with a ripcord lariat for a nearfall. Keith caught Castagnoli with a knee to the chin, then hit a running knee strike for a nearfall. Keith hit a gamengiri, but Castagnoli fired out with a big uppercut. Keith fired up, hitting a enzuigiri and an ushigoroshi for a nearfall. Keith went for the Emerald Tiger Driver, but Castagnoli reversed it into a Giant Swing.
Castagnoli hit the hammer-and-anvil elbows, but Keith caught Castagnoli with an inside cradle for a nearfall. Castagnoli caught Keith with the Sudden Death uppercut, but Keith kicked out to Castagnoli’s surprise. Castagnoli hit a double stomp, then swung Keith around in a sleeper to choke him out and score the hard-fought win.
Billie Starkz, Kiera Hogan, Lady Frost & Queen Aminata defeated Leyla Hirsch, Rachael Ellering, Robyn Renegade & Taya Valkyrie
We got quick tags all around to start. Aminata and Ellering traded chops and hard strikes before Hogan tagged in. Ellering carried Hogan across the ring and tagged in Renegade, who promptly got kicked in the head. Hogan hit the step-up leg drop for a nearfall. Renegade sent Hogan to the floor where Valkyrie booted her on the floor.
Valkyrie tagged in and scored a nearfall on a sliding lariat. Valkyrie hit a sliding German suplex before Hirsch tagged in, setting up an Ellering senton for a nearfall. Hogan hit a neckbreaker to tag in Frost, who ran wild. Frost hit her cartwheeling cannonball for a nearfall. We got a move train, ending with Starkz hitting Star-Ten on Renegade to score the win.
After the match, Abadon came out to menace everyone.
We got a recap of Jay White & The Gunns beating the Mogul Embassy to win the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.
Action Andretti was in the back when Top Flight drove up in a golf cart. They picked up Andretti and drove away. Alrighty then.
Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) defeated The Butcher & The Blade
This match was taped in Daily’s Place as part of that Dynamite taping. Dante started with the Blade, hitting a senton. The Butcher tagged in and hit…an elbow? Anyway, it got a nearfall. Darius tagged in and sent the Butcher flying into his corner to tag in. Butcher and Blade double-teamed Darius to take control. Butcher & Blade clubbered on Darius, with the Blade hitting a powerslam for a nearfall.
Darius avoided a corner charge and got the tag out to Dante, who ran wild. Dante hit a knee out of powerbomb position for a nearfall. Butcher came in biting everyone, then hit a backbreaker on Dante before hitting a tag team crossbody with Blade for a nearfall. Top Flight fired up, hitting a pair of tag team moves before Dante hit a crossover splash for the win.
Mark Briscoe defeated Serpentico
After a few minutes of grappling to start, Briscoe sent Serpentico to the floor with a boot. Serpentico came back with an elbow, but Briscoe dropped Serpentico with a suplex for a nearfall. Serpentico got some offense in before Briscoe fired up again, sending Serpentico to the floor with a chop that sent Serpentico falling off the top rope.
Briscoe hit a lariat for a nearfall. Serpentico came back with kicks and a flatliner for a nearfall. Briscoe moved out of the way of a double stomp and hit a Jay Driller for the win.
Nyla Rose was backstage with Lexy Nair, who asked why she attacked Athena. After joking about being the new Minion Overlord, Rose told Nair that she attacked Athena to make a statement. She won’t stop making statements until she wins the World Title.
Diamante defeated Dream Girl Ellie
Diamante booted Ellie to start and quickly got a win with a Cross Rhodes.
ROH World Television Title Match – Kyle Fletcher defeated Christopher Daniels to retain
Fletcher dropped Daniels with a pair of shoulder blocks, but Daniels reversed a third into a quick flash pin for a nearfall. Daniels sent Fletcher into the corner, but Fletcher exploded out with a spinning kick. After some time, Daniels caught Fletcher with a flatliner to get on the offensive.
Daniels hit a back suplex and an STO before hitting the ten punches in the corner. Daniels hit a swinging Complete Shot for a nearfall. Daniels set up the Angel’s Wings, but Fletcher powered out. Fletcher hit a crotch-lift suplex, then followed with a Yakuza Kick and a brainbuster for a nearfall. Fletcher went for the Hammerlock Tombstone, but Daniels reversed out and hit the Angel’s Wings for a nearfall.
Daniels hit the uranage to set up the Best Moonsault Ever, but Fletcher came back to hit the leg lariat. Fletcher scored the win with the reverse Tombstone to score the win and his third title defense in three weeks.
Ethan Page was backstage with Lexy Nair. Page said that he wanted to make his goals for 2024 clear and said that his goal was to earn a way to a TV Title match against Kyle Fletcher.
AAA Mega Title Match – El Hijo del Vikingo (w/Alex Abrahantes) defeated Action Andretti to retain
The two got in a quick pinning predicament to start before Vikingo sent Andretti to the floor with a tornillo headscissors. Andretti cut off a dive with a kick before hitting a Falcon Arrow for a nearfall. Andretti locked on a headlock before taking Vikingo down with a back elbow and an elbow drop for a nearfall.
Andretti held control on Vikingo before Vikingo powered Andretti up into a Death Valley Driver for a nearfall. Vikingo picked up the pace, hitting an overhead suplex into the corner before hitting the X-Knee. Vikingo hit a twisting press off the middle of the ropes onto Andretti for a nearfall. Vikingo rounded up Andretti before taking him to the outside with a headscissors. Vikingo hit a moonsault off the top rope to the floor.
Vikingo went for a twisting splash, but Andretti shoved him to the floor and hit a dive. Andretti did his silly water bottle spot before firing up, hitting a springboard clothesline. Vikingo moved out of the way of a moonsault before hitting a standing shooting star press for a nearfall. After another short pinning predicament, Andretti caught Vikingo with a high kick. Vikingo got in electric chair position on Andretti, initiating another pinning predicament. This time, Vikingo got a deep pin on one of the covers and got the three count.
