Ricochet says Samantha Irvin isn’t going to AEW

Samantha Irvin may not be heading to AEW.

Amid speculation regarding the future of Irvin, who announced her departure from WWE on Monday, her fiance Ricochet responded on Twitter that she isn’t heading to AEW, where he recently made his debut.

“Haha, she’s not coming to AEW,” Ricochet wrote on X. “You can all rest easy.”

Writing on X, Irvin thanked many within WWE, including Triple H, Paul Heyman, Micheal Cole, Mark Henry, and many others. She had been with the company since 2021.

“To my fans, my entire career I’ve been waiting for you! We are meant to be and I can prove it. Stay tuned. All my love! And still…,” she wrote.

Longtime boxing and former WCW announcer Michael Buffer shared his thoughts on Irvin’s departure on social media.

“NO! My wife and I are so sorry to hear this as I’m sure millions of other @WWE fans are. Samantha is brilliant & super professional as announcer+her musical talent as a singer & flautist are amazing!,” he wrote. “All the best to her moving forward w/her career & perhaps we’ll see her in future events including boxing & MMA!”

Ricochet left WWE during the summer and joined AEW in August at All In. Since then, he’s been focused on winning the AEW International title, making it known that he has yet to be pinned or submitted and is coming after Konosuke Takeshita. He made a surprise appearance on Sunday’s Maple Leaf Pro event, making the save for Josh Alexander who Takeshita was attacking.
