Ricky Starks vs. Cole Karter FTW title match set for AEW Dynamite
FTW Champion Ricky Starks’ open challenge on tonight’s AEW Dynamite has been answered by an unlikely opponent: Cole Karter.
The former Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan in WWE NXT made his return to AEW during this past Saturday’s Dark tapings in Orlando, Florida. Before signing with WWE in March, Karter worked nine Dark/Dark: Elevation matches throughout 2021.
Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs were unsuccessful in last week’s AEW Tag Team title three-way, losing to new champions and rivals Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee and now-former champions the Young Bucks.
This will be his first defense of the title since a mid-May match against Jungle Boy.
